Electric Shanshui / 電気山水図

The urban spaces we live in are covered with electronic cables, both in the sky and under the ground. Every day, we carry cables, plug in devices, extend power lines, and light up our surroundings. Through these actions, we support and expand this electrical ecosystem, almost as if we are guided by electricity itself. In this work, I draw the wiring of my own room using an electrical diagram, in the same way that Shanshui painters once created scenery with ink. These lines appear within a perspectival moving image of the room. What drifts through the space are the symbolic electronic cables that shape my living environment. They are no longer simple artificial objects. They breathe, grow, and create a landscape, becoming part of a new form of nature. 私たちの暮らす都市空間は、空も地中も電子ケーブルで覆われている。毎日人間はケーブルを持ち運んだり電源に差して配線を伸ばしたり、灯りを灯して、まるで電気に操られるようにその生態系を支え電気を増殖させている。 本作では、山水画家が墨の線で風景を描いたように、配電図で自分の部屋の配線を描き、パース化した部屋の映像に浮かべた。 空間にゆらめくのは、私の生活空間を構成する記号化された電子ケーブルたちである。それらは、もはやただの人工物ではなく、自然の一部として呼吸し、増殖し、ひとつの風景を形成している。
