## Weather Writes — 風を編む 本作は、「風を編む」というイメージを起点に、 渋谷という都市に吹く風と、 その場で営まれる都市の生活との関係を捉え直す試みである。 渋谷の風は一定ではない。 時間や天候によって変化し、 都市の上空を流れながら、 人々が集い、通り過ぎる場所で吹くことで、 都市の表情に異なる印象を与えていく。 そうした変化は、 都市の生活という見えない編地に、 時間とともに模様を変えながら、編み重ねられていく。 本作品では、実際の風のデータを入力とし、 反応拡散という自己組織化のプロセスを用いて、 不可視な気象の運動が、 時間とともにどのように形を持つかを生成的に描き出す。 用いられている風のデータは、宮下公園の地点を参照したものであり、 この場所の上空で生じている気象の変化を反映している。 画面上に現れる模様は、 完成された図像ではなく、 その瞬間の風の状態によって立ち上がる、一時的な編地である。 「Weather Writes」は、 天気を背景ではなく、 都市の上空で進行し続けるプロセスとして捉え、 渋谷という場所において、 風がどのように都市を記述しているのかを可視化する。 --- ## Weather Writes — Knitting the Wind This work begins with the image of knitting the wind, and reconsiders the relationship between the wind that blows through Shibuya and the everyday life unfolding within the city. The wind in Shibuya is never constant. It shifts with time and weather, flows above the city, and as it blows through places where people gather and pass by, it gives the city ever-changing impressions. These changes are layered, like threads being woven into the invisible fabric of urban life, gradually forming patterns that evolve over time. In this work, real wind data is used as input, and a reaction–diffusion process—a form of self-organization— is employed to generatively visualize how invisible atmospheric movements take shape over time. The wind data referenced in this work is taken from the specific location of Miyashita Park, reflecting the atmospheric conditions occurring above this site. The patterns that appear on the screen are not fixed images, but temporary fabrics that emerge from the state of the wind at each moment. Weather Writes treats weather not as a background, but as an ongoing process unfolding above the city, making visible how the wind continually writes the city of Shibuya.
