Unsettled Weather

Samuel YAN

Amid shifting weather and layers of fog, light functions both as guidance and as a reminder of uncertainty. Through the refraction and dissolution of light within mist, this work explores a state suspended between hope and disorientation—where an exit feels near, yet remains indistinct. Weather here is not merely atmospheric, but psychological. Fog obscures vision while demanding slower, more attentive looking. As viewers move through the image, they search for illumination while confronting their own hesitation and longing toward the future. Light is not an answer, but a possibility still in the process of becoming.
